AAD CONGRESS

aad congress

The Galderma AAD Congress initiative was a high-impact medical awareness campaign designed to spotlight the role of IL-31 as a central mediator in Atopic Dermatitis (AD) and Prurigo Nodularis (PN). The project transformed complex clinical concepts into a cohesive suite of unbranded exhibition assets, driving attendee engagement toward the IL31role.com digital resource.

The Challenge

The Challenge

The primary challenge was to command attention within the visually saturated environment of a global medical congress. The campaign required a sophisticated visual language that could communicate the urgency of inflammatory symptoms specifically discomfort and itch without relying on product branding. We needed to maintain a delicate balance: delivering a powerful emotional hook while adhering to the clinical accuracy required for a healthcare professional (HCP) audience.

To drive viewer engagement by creating a suite of promotional banners and skins for ITV's programming. The core challenge was to translate diverse and iconic series artwork into a wide range of ad specifications without losing brand recognition or visual impact. The final assets needed to feel like a native part of the user experience, not disruptive advertising.

The Solution

The Solution

I developed a conceptual design strategy centered on Visual Metaphor and Pathophysiology. By utilising a minimalist but aggressive aesthetic, the campaign translated the "invisible" burden of skin conditions into a tangible visual experience.

Key strategic decisions included:

  • Symbolic Colour Theory: I utilised a high-saturation red palette to serve as a universal signifier for inflammation and urgency, ensuring the posters acted as a visual "stop sign" within the congress hall.

  • Clinical Differentiation: To distinguish between AD and PN, I engineered distinct geometric patterns. These "circle motifs" acted as a subtle visual shorthand, allowing specialists to recognise the specific cellular characteristics of each condition at a glance.

  • Design Consistency: Beyond the physical exhibition, I extended the creative strategy into the digital space. This included a UI-aligned Digital PDF and promotional banners that mirrored the IL31 microsite, ensuring a frictionless transition from physical discovery to digital education.

  • Minimalist Narrative: By stripping away non-essential elements, the design focused entirely on the "IL-31" message, leveraging negative space to amplify the central creative and drive high-intent traffic to the campaign URL.
